Downtown Washington, North Carolina has developed a new found reputation as a Friday evening destination for music lovers and antique car enthusiasts as well. Incorporated within that agenda of music and classic cars is that the streets of the county seat are teaming with folks meeting other folks: Exchanging kind words with one another and discovering the diversity of commerce that keeps Main Street's shops alight, with hopes that these visitors to Washington's Main and side streets will come back and spend their money here.

Those optimistic prospects would surely please the downtown merchants and DWOW (Downtown Washington on the Water), who have invest so much into their businesses and the production of this quasi monthly event. Joining in on the fun is almost everyone who makes their way to Downtown Washington. Shown here below is this story told in pictures, as is our custom, in our "Every Picture Tells a Story ... Don't It" series:

There was much ativity in Downtown Washington that evening bwtween the corner of Main and VanNorden Streets on the west edge of the exposition, where this three piece combo (above) made their music, and east and north on Market Street near the Second Street intersection, where these young entertainers regailed the crowd with their brand of alternative rock: Below.
